Sad to know we'll never get his input on design or another rendering, but I'm sure he's having a chat with Harley Earl and Bill Mitchell right now.

Agree. It was on my radar just on looks alone [and I'm very practical when it comes to such things].

When I was renting cars twice a month in 2010-2011, I had the opportunity to test a ton of 4 door "full sized" vehicles. I was never impressed with any of the GM models at the time as they looked and felt cheap. I was 'upgraded' into a Genesis on accident a few times and I was truly amazed at how easily it blew the competition away. I enjoyed the Regal of the late 89-92, but couldn't get enthusiastic about recent variations. My fav was the Ford Taurus as it offered the largest of everything conceivably thought of for the money (interior size/hp/entertainment/features), but had the depreciation curve much like the Genesis. My Alero is still running (albeit last leg / 7th life / 265k+ mi), though I'll be returning to compare these models again in the next 12 months I imagine. Hopefully GM found a clue, though hopefully I'll be surprised as this Regal model actually looks appealing.

My dad loves his Regal Turbo. Buick has improved tenfold.

Thats out of what, 80 thousand-ish cars? I know the Volt recently crossed the 100k unit mark, but thats 1st & 2nd generation combined. Doesn't really matter though. No failures or major defects over 5 years and tens of thousands of units is pretty good.

That is impressive. Hopefully they have the same result with the Bolt battery pack.

my god, how to take a product struggling to break into the top tier luxury market and sabotage it completely

"GoldStar", easily one of the top 5 worst electronic manufactures on the planet partners up with GM?

Which Executive is on drugs?

FYI, LG is one of, if not the largest, LCD, LED, OLED screen manufacturer on the planet. Meaning many others buy their screens from LG as they have the most up to date technology and manufacturing of these items. I would say at this time over 50% of all TV's and the like sold now, have screens made by them and you would never know it. There basically are like three companies making all the screens for every brand on the planet.

Even though LG came from Goldstar roots, things have changed quite a bit.

While maybe not up to the level of Samsung or Sony, LG had improved significantly from the "Lucky Goldstar" days.
