A8 Transmission Fluid Temperature?

One of the readouts on my 2SS performance display is transmission fluid temperature. I don't think I've seen this budge much above 100. What's the normal readout for routine driving in temperatures under 50 degrees?

Here in Florida during the summer I may see 125 degrees in my ss A8 ( during normal driving). In the winter when the temp is in the 50s and 60s I have to do some pretty aggressive driving to get the temp gauge to even register, normal driving it will stay below 100.

That's what I'm seeing - it has barely budged. I was a little concerned because the range goes up to 300 degrees. Thanks!

It won't budge hardly ever during cold weather season. I've noticed the temp will start to register when the outside temp is above like 70-80 degrees.

Even driving my new 19 Ram in WI this week pulling a snowmobile trailer I don't believe I went over 118.

Start worrying above 180 degrees but to see that and keep it there I suspect you would have to be racing. These cars have huge cooling capacity. 3 radiators up front then trans cooler is the one lying flat painted black as you peek thru the grill. Then there are oil and rear end coolers and don't forget 10 qts of oil!!!!

I wouldn't worry about 180 degrees. I know it's a different trans, but my silverado runs around 180 all the time when fully warmed up.

I’ve changed fluid twice at room temperature. Are you referring to checking the fluid level after changing it because if that’s the case, your temps are right.
