Are you guys worried the Camaro will be discontinued again?

With the low sales for Gen 6, are you guys worried the Camaro will be discontinued again? Why or why not?

I guess if you get the best deal at the time then it is what it is. Once you buy it and get a good deal, you can't worry about the price being discounted in the future : done deal.

I'll start worrying if calender winter gets here and sales drop to anywhere in the less than 3k a month range.

I think it will depend on how this push to move it into an upscale market is received and executed.

Am I worried? Not at all. Way to many other more important things to worry about than if the Camaro will exist or not. Cars come and go. I've been very luck to own and have owned many great rides. In the sceme of things cars really don't mean much in the end.

The gen 6 sales are slow because they made a Killing with the GEN5. Still to many guys holding onto the GEN5's In my state were we really only have 5 maybe 6 months to drive them, there are LOTS of Garage queens with only 3 or 4 thousand miles on the car.... Why drop 40K for the GEN6. I still feel the 2016 was a wasted year, the GEN 6 should have been a 2017 Product as the 50TH Anniversary entry. JUST my Opinion......

If the Corvette does eventually go mid engine and moves up in price, no $55k Corvettes anymore, then the Camaro is safe for many years to come, I think with the 6th gen SS 99% of a C7 Stingray, I believe GM has already started that process of moving the Camaro into the current C7 Stingray slot.

Sales are slow for 3 reasons. 1st year/QC, over priced $2k high in every trim, styling hit the 8 ring instead of the bullseye.

Spy shots of a supposedly mid-engine vette dropped this week on motor trend.

Considering companies put so much importance on advertising and Chevrolet didn't spend anything to advertise the camaro, we can conclude that they believe advertising is bs and it turns out it isn't or that they intentionally didn't advertise because they didn't want to sell many camaros.

Either way, I'd question management.

Um, that would be DIS-CON-TIN-UED, not discounted. Difference between bad sales figures, and a bad deal!

And GM is trying to boost sales with the lower pricing model, and bringing back the LS entry model. Wait till the next Transformers movie to show off the Gen6 (as long as they haven't totally thrashed the hell out of it like we've seen in some photos) and people will flock to buy it like they did in 2009.

If they do stop production again, I have my FIFTY so it doesn't matter

No not in the near term. I am afraid that the market for expressive, performance coupes is on the downward trend that may lead to big changes, but that's years from now.
