Ok guys, I took everyone's advice and pulled the valve covers yesterday, I worked every day this week so it's been hard to find time. I inspected both sides of all the rockers and did not see any signs of wear or damage. I should have went ahead and checked the pushrods but am going to wait until after tomorrow. I'll be performing a smoke test to check for exhaust leaks around the header Flange and underneath at the collectors in the morning.

I spoke to a different shop today and they are booked up until the end of the month, so hopefully I can figure out this noise before I go in for some more tuning. If not I'll be paying them a diag fee and see what they think. Again thank you all for the advice, it's got me to take action instead of just speculating.

A tick sound could be anything. My car got louder a little after I installed my headers. Turned out to be the ball and socket joint where the cats met the headers needed re tightened. So I had an exhaust leak.

There is a SI from Chevy about 2010-2015 Camaro with a missfire, DTC P0300, chirp, squeak, squeal, tick noise. (Possible valvetrain)

Cool start mine does not tick, but after warming to operation temperature the ticking noise
Gets a little annoying at a stop or when you are next to another car or drive thru and the noise is bouncing off the wall. It does missfire sometimes when I get to a stop.
It's just on the driver side the noise is coming from and when you stand by the driver door you can hear it under the car.

Still under warranty and it seems like the service writer wants me to drive it till it gets worst or blows up.

Mine is a 2013 Chevy Camaro with 33k miles and everything is stock.

I had a loud tick and it was the boot on one of the coils, it was on, but not on all the way. I could see the spark at night.
