Yea, those are good numbers for sure. My Hellcat made 892whp SAE on E85 but it had a Jokerz ported OEM 2.4L blower, stock cam, stock heads, and stock exhaust manifolds and through the stock cats. I believe it was capable of making just above 900whp on pump 93 with a custom cam, ported heads, long tubes and no cats. I think the Hellcat engine is capable of making more power per cubic inch than the LT4 without doubt, but the ZL1 has the power to weight ratio advantage.

Katech just finished an engine for me. It made 1,012 hp on their engine dyno using 93 only. This is stock 376 displacement at about 20 psi of boost. (They use std correction.)

I'll be installing it in a few weeks. Since it will be used on the road course though, I'll likely be stepping down the boost a lot.

Which blower? And that number is going to be lower to the wheels, nonetheless, it should be around 900whp.

Not that you need 1200 RWHP but why wouldn't you get the XDI fuel setup Katech offers?

If there was a certain hp number your wanting to road course with would it make sense to slow the blower down and run full e85 to make up the hp with the timing you could run now? Not to mention since the car is all ready apart it maybe something to do so your not paying double labor for R & R the blower again?

OP - that's a really cool build that you can go so much further with in the future if you ever want to. Super cool!!!

The engine was built with the XDI injectors. I just didn't get the pump because it's $4,800 and I don't need it. It's not running out of fuel.

My goal was to have a more efficient engine that I could dial in the power as needed by changing pullies and a tune. As for fuel, I like 93 because they don't offer E85 at the tracks I frequent. On a road course, it's not uncommon to go though 40+ gallons on a busy day. 93 just makes sense. If I were drag racing, E85 would absolutely be the way to go. At a road course, not so much.

My car isn't apart at the moment. This was an entirely new engine, blower and all... not a rebuild. If the blower needs to be removed in the future, that's not a big deal. I installed the 2650 on my current engine, and it was relatively easy.

Sorry CS10SS. I didn't mean to hijack the thread.

You're in good hands with Katech.

I wouldn't install a DSX aux pump though. Been there, done that. For straight line acceleration it's fine, but if you like taking turns hard, it could cost you your engine one day. When the fuel drops below a half a tank, you're in the danger zone. Taking a hard turn can move the fuel away from the DSX pickup. If you accelerate before the fuel migrates back, the engine will run lean every time. I have lots of HP Tuner logs showing this exact scenario.

I get that there aren't many good low-side fuel solutions. I'm building a custom solution for mine. It has potential to be pretty awesome. We'll see. Most ideas are great until tested. lol

And so it begins....

Since I cannot control myself... we are adding the DSX Low Side Aux Pump as well just to be able to get above the 800 RWHP mark.
