Hmm. Is there bucking or surging with the stock converter? If not, how difficult was it to dial in?

It’s funny I did have bucking and surging at the start for quite a bit of time till I figured it out.

I kept getting 3 codes on scanner.
1. Low idle
2. Throttle Body Air
3. Camshaft sensor error

I ended up going to a front mounted short ram air filter after 3 different tries of different set ups. The short ram let me get the most exposser to the big front air opening on the Copo style hood. I cleared the codes and it’s been a week and the codes have not returned and the bucking and surging has stopped. The tuner had put up the idle to try to offset the bucking and surging but now it runs smooth but the idle might be a tad high. It’s currently reading about 975 rpm.

So it’s dialed in now. Took awhile to get it right but my advice is that you can figure it out old school way and tuner way. Maybe a bit of both but the Camaro is a very fussy car, like a bitch in heat but so sweet when it’s running nice.

You're not worried about rain, etc. with it set up that way?

Any prolong or heavy rain I will avoid and will not drive in. A draw back in this set up, but I knew that even when I switch to my semi slicks in the summer and will not drive in those tires in the rain. Plus after a good detail I will not drive in the rain.

Anderson Composites is the bottom portion of my spoiler.

https://andersoncomposites.com/colle...r-rear-spoiler

ZL1 Addons is the top portion of my spoiler.

https://zl1addons.com/products/copy-...nt=36758423489

I did get both parts of the spoiler wrapped. The reason I got it wrapped because I order a gloss black and they sent me a graphite colour. I should have just returned it but they gave me a partial refund which paid for the wrap.

I took the plunge and order NOS, being Black Friday got some deals. All in with shipping $2,400.00

Holley Hi Ram Single Stage Nitrous Spacer Plate System
Fuel Type - gas/other
Bottle Size - 15lb Bottle
Single Stage
0-15psi Fuel Pressure Gauge with 6AN Manifold
Nitrous Outlet "Big Show" 6AN Purge Kit
Luminescent Nitrous Pressure Gauge & 6 AN Manifold
Stage 1 Accessory Package - main feed line 6AN, heater, etc
Nitrous Outlet Remote 15lb Nitrous Bottle Opener - with sleeve
Camaro Console Switch Panel
Nitrous Outlet WinMax Dual Channel Window Switch (Built-in TPS Activation and Gear Lockout Feature)

I also order the 105mm top for the Holley high rise along with the Holley EFI 105mm throttle body I should have order these 2 things at the start but stayed with the stock 92 mm. Live and learn mistake.

Will install at some point during the winter months. Still need the stand alone fuel system and a few goodies, spark plugs. Etc Planning on starting with a 100 shoot and no more then 150. Will need to learn the window switch program, so I can plan the 1/4 run the best possible way.

The guys running NOS please provide your thoughts and experience. Do’s and do not do’s.
Maintenance? Of course not planing on blowing up my engine but the thought is there. Scary stuff. But I realize in order to play and make the goal you personally want could come at a cost. Looking forward to the spring/warmer weather and the drag strip opening up. The NOS and cut outs are for track only. I hope I stand firm on this statement.

Update on the Holley EFI 105mm TB, will not work. I have tried and went thru the procedure to covert to cable throttle to eliminate lag. Present thought is I will have to revisit this down the road. Getting the Holley dominator and various other attachments to make this work will be after I get my NOS system in order and running 100%.

Awesome! For some reason, I always read your posts as Cyrus from Trailer Park Boys? Since you're Canadian, and the word choice you use. It's not a bad thing!

Anyways.... Nitrous is only scary if you let it be. It's extremely simple. Just think of how many slack jawed yokels are out there every night at the race track and not blowing their engines up!

“Cyrus, the gun toting, drug dealing nemesis from the hit television series Trailer Park Boys!”

He was more of Vette guy. I am not a dickhead all of the time, and us Canadians can’t carry openly. Have to lock up my firearm in a designated lock box. Lol

NOS update:
Well NOS Outlet let me down. The order that was paid for via Visa Debit was not approved because I never ordered from them before and I use a USA shipping address in Blaine Washington to avoid customs and duty charges. I live right on the border and it takes me four mins to get into the States. I explained all this to Brandon in their order department in Nitrous Outlet and he would not except my explanation and kept falling back to company policy. In order to avoid fraud, which I can understand. Frustrated, the bank charges and currency exchange on the refund cost me $180 on a $2400 order. So $180 for nothing, thanks Nitrous Outlet.

Dealing with Jegs and Summit Racing now. Always had great help from those companies.

NOS will be done before Spring time, but this experience in the NOS order has made me sour. I will order slowly now and a few items at a time, the Black Friday specials made me jump into it all with two feet.
