Oil is not a hazardous material. I get oil shipped all the time. I even send my oil samples USPS and they do not recognize oil as a hazardous material.

Same. I order Amsoil several times a year and it's never been an issue. Typically UPS delivers it.

Even if it was, it could still be shipped with a hazmat charge ups or fedex??

That hazardous materials line sounds like a bunch of jive to me. I actually received 2 quarts of gear oil for my diff today with free shipping from Amazon.

It is even more at Summit Racing and online parts dealers want 7.50 + shipping per quart. GM parts overstock has it but shipping on 10qts is $22. Local dealers want $14 per qt.
