Weight up high = worse than LED lights and speakers on a track. Not to mention the lower headliner, compromising helmet space for many.

And since we're talking about it - I tend to agree with mlee...a sunroof ruins the roofline. I love that gorgeous "reverse mohawk".

BUT...as always...options are optional for a reason. Get what makes you giggle.

Some see the sunroof as a no no for the ZL1, just as I see an auto trans as a no no for such a car. I'm not into counting tenths of a sec in performance or seconds on a track. To me the car looks best from the side with a sunroof opened. Choices are a good thing. Good luck with the sale or trade, atleast you gave it a try.

You missed the point, my list was not inclusive, and we can each make our own justifications either way, but the ZL1 is certainly not a track day special, shares as much in common with a GT car as it does a track tool. But as this thread is drifting into a roof/no roof, we already have enough of those, I leave you to party on in your claustrophobic reverse mohawk.

Hmm, track car with heated and cooled seats, remote start, bajillion speaker sound system, LED light show interior, yes, yes, I definitely see your point about something as superfluous as a roof... or not. But, as you said to each their own; apparently as long as your own is sans roof
+1 Good point! I don't track my car just do some 1/4 mile runs at the drag strip during the warmer months. Either way soon as the warmer weather arrives that sunroof will be cracked open and enjoying the breeze. All comes down to our own opinions as usual and wouldn't change my mind for anything on it as a option.

I love the reverse Mohawk on roof. Car looks more aggressive without the sunroof. I also agree that it doesn't belong on the zl1 along with the auto trans.

I didn't miss your point.

Claustrophobic? Or hunkered down track day special?

Maybe the sunroof could be opened when using a helmet, or is that against track rules? I have never tracked a car, but I think it is about to change.

The problem is the sunroof is not directly above your head so opening it doesn't help with headroom really. The area around the sunroof is lower which is right where your helmet hits.
