Injen Evo7300 Cold Air Intake for the 2.0 Camaro!

The tube on my 16 is definitely different than yours. Did you try squeezing that pad area in front and back below the slot with your fingers and pulling?

I wonder if this is GM's a way of trying to make sure no one installs an aftermarket intake? There is a small chance that it may not even come off at all? A one shot deal. Worst case scenario oh, you may have to buy another one, or maybe buy one from a 16

I am going to go out to my car on my lunch break and see what i can do. Hopefully it is just a squeeze and pull.

I checked it out. It wont squeeze. I also noticed on the backside there is the exact same hole and raised pad area. Never seen anything like it.

In the end you could just remove the hose from the engine side and replace with hose and clamps. It wont look OEM, but should work although I have not looked at how the engine side is clamped. Hopefully not the same way.

I got a part number from ThatGMPartsguy for the GM cold air kit coming for the turbo. I believe this is what I will order when it comes out. It will be interesting to see what their instructions say about this.

Might need something like a fuel line disconnect tool to get it off?

Man, I hope this works. I'm really not surprised the dude had no clue to help you.

They usually come together in a kit of various sizes for like $10 or less. From looking at your picture they will have to be fairly short ones

yes, that's what I'm thinking may work.

If that doesn't work, I'm sure gm has some dumb specialized tool to undo it because they don't want joe public to mess with it. That, or it's permanently connected like I mentioned earlier, just a one shot connector.
