Are there any other convertible owners out there?

I am not seeing as many posts from the vert croud as I did on the Gen5 forums. How many of use are out there?

It's been a rough journey. Should take delivery within a week or so.

What has been the best and worst thing about your vert?

The best thing has definitely been the ride itself. By that I mean it accelerates so smooth and is just fun to drive. The worst thing so far is the trunk space. I mean I thought the trunk in my 2012 was small but this trunk is non-existent. I am still trying to figure out where to put my golf clubs for my league on Tuesday.

Any issues with the top alignment or closing?

Any bad vibrations?

Nothing so far but I have only had it since Thursday. I was one of the lucky ones with my 2012 that never had any top issues at all so I am hoping my luck holds out again. I can say that the new top is definitely a much better design but there are also a lot more moving parts.

3400 miles on mine, no problems. Well, does always wanting to lower it with the key fob count as a problem? Sometimes i sit in my office, look out the window & lower it when someone walks by. Its great to see them stop, look around, and watch the look of confusion on their face!

No top marks at all. The only thing i had to have done was paint some bare spots in the convertible well area. But damn, after all the issues i had with my 2012 this car is HEAVENLY!

I have one, but it has been in the shop since 5-31-16 for NPP rattle, rear end groan, and paint issues (purchased on 4-9-16). I have noticed one rub mark on the driver's side. Seems to be related to cable routing under the canvas.

Best car ever; and that's a lot of cars over a lot of years.... Only one issue, a good one. I purposely took off the back bowtie and painted the front bowtie solid black to "hide" it as the car is triple black. The funny issue: cars speed up in adjacent lanes and then slow down to either admire the car or try to figure out what it is.

I have about 1800 miles on mine and I'm very happy with it. No major complaints at all, but yes the trunk is a joke if you keep the divider up. If it's a day where you don't need to put the top down, you can put that divider down and get some things in the trunk though.

EDIT: This thread is worthless without pics Just took a fresh snap right now...

Thanks for the picture! Looks great.

I agree about the trunk and the divider, but how much space do you gain in the trunk?

Love that combination; exterior, interior, the wheels, and it's a vert. Awesome car.

As soon as I get mine I will probably post 1k pics (ok, maybe not that many).

2000 miles on Mine, Trunk IS SMALL!!!! Back seat will hold anything that won't fit in the Trunk. ONLY problem so far is Squeaky Brakes. Top is Great, Works Great, No marks, and the Remote Top-Drop is COOL.
