Someone mentioned above the story stating GM is considering a GMC "Jimmy" that would ride on the same platform as the Colorado / Canyon. Whether true or not, I'd have to think GM is not going to put any new body on frame SUV on the current platform, when the next gen mid-size trucks are due in 2 or 3 years. So we'll see.

Speaking of the mid-size twins, does anyone put any faith in the stuff that muscle cars and trucks .com publishes? They are the ones that just published an article stating the next gen Camaro has been shelved, and the current car will live on through 2023, then die.

On that same page I see a link to this article discussing the next gen mid-size GM trucks, which they claim will come in the 2023 time frame also: https://www.musclecarsandtrucks.com/...ated-platform/ They go on to say that the trucks won't be moving from 31xx platform to 32xx but instead, will be an updated version of the 31xx platform.

Man I just have a hard time thinking they wouldn't do even a small refresh on these trucks until 2023. But maybe the sales (while "good-ish" for the segment) may not warrant the investment for a refresh until the next gen drops.

With that site I say have a little more than a grain of salt on stand by. They've also posted this a few minutes ago:

Exclusive: Seventh-Generation Chevrolet Camaro Shelved
Sources Say The Camaro Will Live Until 2023, And Then Be Discontinued, Again

I don't recognize the name, therefore I assume its full of clickbait.

I don’t really see a Wrangler fighter fitting GMC’s image. There’s nothing “professional” about an off road vehicle.

Isn't that that site proclaiming the 7th Gen is not going to happen?

Clickbait... maybe so, but Motor1 just recirculated their article about the GM twins:

Can't find anything on their site that's more than 25 days old. Every "article" is copy and paste with the same Author attached.

Excellent way to increase your website clicks is spreading false information

This body mounted mirror crap has to end - as someone who owns a 2017 GM Denali Pickup and daily drives a 2019 Silverado that work provides (both CC 4x4) - I can tell you that the body mount offers ZERO additional visibility than the previous corner mount.

I’m guessing it has some positive aero benefit.
