MAF readings on stock SS...
So I have a qestion, if anyone can help me out and satisfy my curiosity, I’d really appreciate it!
I’ve seen a few different MAF tables (freq vs airflow). I’m curious if anyone has logged a stock SS and, if so, what’s the highest MAF reading you’ve seen? The stock table shows a huge jump on the last reading(8550 to 15000 hertz), so I assume a stock SS is gonna be somewhere below 8550 hertz (2855lb/hr) to be in the relevant part of the table.

I like your curiosity |

You’re completely stock? No CAI, ported parts, etc? Any idea on the conditions when you did that?
Thanks!

with the rotofab and 36.9 lbs/min with the stock airbox. Average IATs were up a few degrees with the rotofab though. I may try running some more tests trying immediately removing the airbox to get more consistent data. |

Just checked a log and mine was 2,662 @ 6256 RPM. This was with stock TB and stock CAI.

IAT was also 99° Elevation was 138 feet I remember this day because I sat in the parking lot with AC on while I added a few channels to log. The start of the log had ambient at 102° and IAT was 108°. |

I used to be that low of elevation now I'm at almost 1000, so im seeing about 14.4-14.5 baro pressure instead of 14.7.

All of this discussion goes out the window unless the MAF has been properly calibrated so the Final Lambda/AFR matches the Commanded Lambda/AFR.

I hear talk about scaling your MAF what does that mean and how do you do it? The way i read it is you see what your actual physical maf readings are then change the table to match them?

I'm just trying to understand how the source of error of receiving wideband feedback and trying to interpret airmass after it has gone through the engine and undergone combustion and all that? I mean I get it if someone hacks up their airbox with the MAF sensor location moved, but for stock MAF setups? |

What do you log the maf against? Hertz in one column on map but whats the other row
And anybody know how to create a pid for Eq error? Is it wideband lambda divided by commanded lambda? |

You log the maf against a wideband.

Thats what confuses me cause other maps there is a x axis, a y a is and then the data cells. But the maf all the ones i see have Hz on the x axis and the data is afr or lambda error but what is in the y axis, nothing?
