top material and care?

Just got my '19 SS but have no info on maintenance.

I have had 6 verts of various makes over the years and most were PVC, vinyl, or cloth construction but I have no clue on this one.

Dealership want to sell me glass treatment but can't tell me what they do on the top.

I have been happy with duragloss 341. Apply with small diameter foam paint roller.

I use 303 fabric protector https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Great stuff! After a few coats water beads off the top like waxed paint.

I've used 303 Fabric Guard on my new SS convertible based on forum and youtube research. I started with applying a thin coating and letting it dry in the garage overnight. The following week I washed my car and I wasn't happy with the amount of water rejection so that night I applied a 2nd thin coating. It raned the following week on me and I was able to see that a 2nd coating was getting the results I wanted to see.
I think I will apply 1 more thin coating this weekend and that should do it. I've researched that you want many thin coatings to get the best protection - use what you like and use it often approach - like painting, it is suggested to apply many thin coats vs. 1 heavy coat.

Before the 1st application of the Fabric Guard:
1. Used a vacuum cleaner on the top to get up any loose dirt etc.. sitting on the top
2. Used a lint-roller to pickup the other fuzzies sticking to the top
3. Wetted the top down with the hose
4. Used 303 Tonneau Top Cleaner Spray and a Brush and lightly scrubbed the top
5. Rinsed and let dry overnight in the garage
6. Next night, I used a lint roller again to pickup any loose fuzzies
7. Applied the 303 Fabric Guard - Coating 1
8. Week later, hosed the top off, let it dry, lint roller - then applied Coating 2 (really started seeing results after this coating)
9. I'm about to do the same for coating 3 this weekend (rinse, dry, lint roller then Fabric Guard)

A tip for applying the 303 which I'm sure works for Raggtop too... Roll it on, don't spray it. You get better fabric penetration, better coverage, and best of all no overspray!

Get one of these $8 mini paint roller kits from Walmart or your favorite home store.

And you can pick up a lint roller while you're there.

One bottle of 303 will do 2 coats.

I just put the top down and went for a ride. I get a kick out of those who spend a ton of time and money, then park it all winter and drive their 70K vehicle after 3 or 4 years they don’t get a dime more than me and I drove enjoyed mine.
