Heck, I looked, I searched and I cant find this info.

Has there ever been a diagram and list of what components and speakers with sizes make up the Bose sound upgrade in a 2017 Camaro RS ?

You get a Bose-specific amp and 9 Bose speakers. Head unit/display may be loaded with different software. The communication between the head unit and amp is different depending on which sound system you have. The software for all systems may be preinstalled and it may just recognize whether you have Bose or not.

If you plan on doing any sort of audio upgrade beyond adding a sub....do not go with Bose...unless you want to add the cost of an expensive DSP processor or the M650_GM which adds anywhere between $500-$750 in cost...non bose is much easier to upgrade to aftermarket system

Unfortunately you can’t specify the stereo you want from GM. If you want the 2SS trim you get the Bose. I did not want the Bose. I wanted leather, heated seats, dual zone climate, and homelink. Guess what comes with that whether you like it or not!

I also wanted all the extra toys with the 2ss...but if i would have known that the bose would have been a huge pita to upgrade...i would have went 1ss
