This event is also only three years old, and doesn't advertise much.

Can't expect 9th year Camaro Fest attendance with a baby annual meet.

CamaroCon will get there.

Year #1 with motorsports. You're right, it will grow as word gets out and CamaroFest hopes to help with that too.

I ran a 10.51 today. That would have been in the hunt for CamaroCon SuperMod class.

Because someone couldn't provide clarification on rules.

This took all of 30 seconds for myself to find. Looks to me that they laided it out fairly clear. And if this isn't clear enough, a nhra handbook is what you need.

There was conflicting information with regards to roll bar requirements. Current NHRA rules state I don't need one. But the content on the CamaroCon website stated I do. I asked for clarification and was told "you should be ok". That's not good enough. I wanted a yes or no, not should be.

I see it now. The CamaroCon website was edited with the following statement "(Older Model Camaros/Firebirds or built race car)". That wasn't there when I looked at it before the event and asked for clarification.

Didn't mean to be a douche with my post btw. Been a long day and I should've worded my response differently...my apologies.

Nah, you weren't... He already knows that site was changed due to his questions. Just a little too late to see it. I hadn't checked either.

No Mike. The only thing I was aware of changing was the link to the NHRA rules. Before I brought it to anyone's attention, it was Summit Series rules and then changed to NHRA. Adding the phrase about older cars is something I hadn't seen before.

I didn't take your comment as being a douche. When I first went to the CamaroCon website, it only took me 30 seconds to see that it had conflicting information about the rules. The link to the rules was changed at my suggestion. The portion about older model cars was changed later and I was not aware of that change.

If the rules had been done correctly from the beginning, there would not been any need for clarification or correction later. The promoter was the douche.

Yeah, I checked it a few days before the event. I guess last minute changes are better than nothing.

Did you have a fun drive home?
