BDS blowers also look into Weiand blowers. I'm not sure if this will work with an LS3 tho...You may wanna go with a GMPP LSX Block, forged engine internals, CNC/ported heads, and an all new trans. and rearend. It's alot to consider when adding the power the blower will be putting out.

MagnaCharger/Eaton have kits for the LS3 in the Vette. I'm sure they will have kits for the Camaro. And yes they are 50 sate legal.

I'll be looking to build the internals as well ... 600hp just won't cut it for a FI 6.2L engine .. .. That is one place the 03/04 cobras / Gt500's shine .. already built from the factory .. just change your boost (or blower / turbo) ... too easy to get way beyond the 600bhp mark ... and out of a smaller engine ..

I believe the question is having a 'through the hood' blower. A roots type supercharger will sit quite nicely under a normal hood, or at the very least one with a bit of a extra powerbuldge, see ZR1 Corvette. I have seen 1 or 2 cars driving on the street with a through the hood setup, but thats all. I don't know if thats because of legal issues or because you need to have an "over the top" personality.

That blower looks like it belongs on a 572 cubic inch big block running nitrous

I have a weiand 6-71 sticking out of the hood on my 928 and at least in Minnesota it is completely street legal. The odd part her is you can't have anything hanging from your mirror but the blower (which is a HUGE visual impairment) is completely legal.

not all roots superchargers will sit nicely under a normal. it all depends on the size of s/c, like the LS9 and the LSA superchargers are not very large at all. the magnuson s/cs are beautiful for the LS series motors and sit nicely right in place of the stock intake manifold.

but most of the "thru the hood" ones are like the old weiand 6-71s, 8-71s and 14-71s. along with the car running carbureted setup, which adds height in and of itself.

LS guys get it easy, all they ever made for the LT1's were centrifugal style. which I honestly dislike.... im a positive displacement kind of guy.

in fact my little project im working on now for my LT1 is a roots style s/c with methanol injection.

and a quick peek...
