Magnuson2650 Pulley combo

A question for who ever went throught the trouble of trying diff type of lower+upper pulley set ups, i am going with a vvt1 *stage1* cam 32% fuel lobe, dsx low side and a jms volt booster and meth for the fueling, i have been wondering if i could go 85mm upper and 9.17 lower with this fueling support? or if anyone tried another setup of pulleys and finds it great I’d appreciate the recommendation i am really lost.

With your fuel mods plus a LPE HPFP and +30’s but no meth I was out of fuel on E50 with a 9.06 lower and 85 upper. Making 18psi. This is a heads/cam 11:1 compression setup though.

My tuner said i can go 85mm with 9.17 lower, but i doubted it i think it makes more sense now that its impossible to do so, i am running 13.9 psi now with 85mm and stock lower with meth only, the rest of the mods are yet to come.

2650 ported eforce 8.3 lower 7.62 (3.0) 18/19 psi 112MM TB, 5 inch intake, heads, and cam unlimited fuel on e85.

Here were my results with stock TB, headers, and a stock box with green filter. The maggi flows a little better stock to stock but not when kong ports the stock Eforce should be close enough.


A Few results on the 2650 85.51% humidity Temp 75

2017 ZL1 w LTH, stock TB, GM Box w Grn Filter all results on same Mustang Dyno

LT4 OEM no mods 551rwhp 567 rwtq

All TEST DONE ON STOCK TB, STOCK BOX, HEADERS, and 9.17 LPE lower w stock 2.5 upper

LT4 oem SC 641 RWHP 597 RWTQ 9.17 and Stock upper
2650 3.75 pulley 620/613 11 psi
2650 3.50 pulley 637/616 12.5 psi
2650 3.25 pulley 644/633 13.5 psi
2650 3.00 pulley 666/ 636 15 psi
2650 3.00 pulley 701/667 103TB and Prototype Vararam intake

Great numbers on the stock box and TB for just a lower pulley, longtubes and tune. How was the heat soak with the longtubes added but more boost?

The 90mm pulley that comes usually with the 2650 makes roughly 16lbs of boost at sea level. Not sure why your only getting 14 on an 85mm. When you add the cam and if you do heads your boost will drop by a few psi. I really don’t see any reason why you can’t run an 85mm and a lower with your fuel mods. Assuming this is on pump gas and not E.


I have a 90mm and a 9.06 lower and I’m just on pump, no meth, no low side.

I only did the dyno numbers because I went port 2 days later basically drove it over the weekend and right back to the shop for more power. Tuner said it looked fine though.

Yeah things been going weird with my boost for some reason i got 12.6 exactly on the stock 90mm and 13.9 exactly on 85mm, with intake/LTH and single nozzle meth, and a volt booster i am making 720/730 on a dynojet, corrected numbers.
