FS Race Red Z/28 with a Brand New LS7

-> 5 miles were put on the Z since engine replacement..the car speedometer shows 7406 miles.

•To get the story on what happened, read “2015 Race Red Z/28 9700631 Gets a New Heart" https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=583213

My wife and I are considering selling our 2015 Z/28 Race Red with the only options available -> radio and AC. It currently has 7406 miles on the odometer as it sits in the garage freshly detailed, clay bar-ed, and polished. The engine bay was detailed as well.

We picked her up at Jim Norton Chevy 1 ½ weeks ago, where the failed LS7 was replaced by Chevy under warranty. The original LS7 failed due to a block flaw from casting according to GM/Chevy. Again catch the story in the engine replacement thread

It’s been treated like my baby, never abused, its condition is flawless. The new owner could have a chance to break in the new engine if it sells. The serial number is 9700631.

This Z has a few advantages:

1.It’s TRULY the lowest mileage on any Z/28 in the country…with 5 actual miles on a brand new LS7, which was just installed under GMPP due to a LS7 block flaw. Total engine replacement cost under warranty? $19490.00 and change! All receipts will go with the car for the new owners records.

2.The body is in perfect shape with zero paint damage; it was covered with XPEL Ultimate approximately ~5/8’s of the car surface -> anywhere that can be damaged by debris was covered with XPEL at 318 miles. It was covered on the complete front clip, all front, side, and rear aero effects –> the roof leading edge, the columns by the windshield, the mirrors, the spoiler, and the splitter. The doors also have XPEL halfway up to prevent debris damage on either side of the car from the wheels casting out any road debris.

3.The Z got brand new Michelin Sport Cup 2s on the car front and rear, so 325-30-19’s on all four corners at 12” - 12.5” wide. The Cup 2's were added at ~7100 miles. The work was done at Discount Tires and have a full road hazard insurance on all four Pilot Cup 2’s. BTW the wheels are perfect, with zero road or curb rash anywhere. No visible signs of wear, all brake dust has been wiped off with Mequir's Touch Up Spray between drives to prevent any wheel corrosion. The wheels were polished once a month - easy to do when they are kept immaculate.

4.The original GMPP warranty until was 7 years or 70,000 miles. It still has 3 more years, and is covered until Feb/March of 2023 by a premium GMPP warranty. The Z was bought in Feb/March 2016, so under warranty is until Feb/March 2033. The Z still has 62,000+ miles over the next three years.

5.A new optima pc1200 gel battery was installed last year, replacing the GM lead acid battery. That’s Optima’s largest battery, it’s provided with a battery maintainer.

I’m anal about caring for my cars, as I also have a 09 Corvette Z06; so I have never driven either car in such a way to thrash the engine, body or interior. In the south we use zero salt or anything detrimental to the car’s underside, the again it's never driven in winter. It's garaged from Halloween to Mid-March when it warms up to 65F ->70F in Oklahoma. It's never been rained on either except a few sprinkles while the dealer waited for all of the parts needed for the engine replacement. I had the car and engine bay detailed after we got it. The new owner will not be dissapointed.

How much?
We decided to lower our initial offing to $60,000 OBO after talking with a few forum members. We're reasonable, so if there's interest shoot me a PM and I'll send a note plus my phone number. The Z will sell with the remainder of the warranty i..e three full years of warranty left expiring in Feb/March 2023.

You can get cheaper cars, but not nicer -> especially one with a brand new LS7.

Just as the original engine, this car has not run past 4000 rpm. Chevy recommends a 1500-mile break-in per their break-in instructions. As expected, the car runs really well, with it's unique snap crackle pop exhaust -> it turns head as we drive by the golf course we live off of. BTW the original engine was broken-in the same way.

Typically, the car was driven on weekends, about 1500 miles per year. The only differences in the milage listed will be small trips around Tulsa. I’ve driven her one time from Tulsa to Dallas to hang out with a friend, hit a meeting w/ other Z/28 owners for lunch, as well as doing dinner each night Keller’s Drive-In on Northwest Highway.

Drop me a PM. My wife and I are considering selling due to illness (not COVID19), so I’ll be in the hospital in OKC from Nov 6th to Christmas addressing that issue, so if you want to work with me, don’t let moss grow on your feet. However, I should be back by Christmas or early in January.

Here are some pictures of the outside, I've provided links to high resolution pictures. If you have issues let me know I'll give your email address read only access to the picture folder on Dropbox. Anything else I can do?? PM me.

Links to Dropbox Folder Pics...I'll replace the he ones that that might be too shady tomorrow with new JPEG's..all are hi resolution..so download & blow them up to see all the details

bump price adjusted to 60,000OBO.

We plan to leave her in the garage until April '21 or May '21. We've decided to let the new owner break her in, so I'll be warming up the engine every three weeks in the garage until then.

Larry,
Good luck with the Sale. I know you'll have a hard time parting with her, someone is going to get a fantastic car!

It might be better not to warm it up like that. I think prolonged idling does more harm than just keeping it stored.

Good luck with the sale!
