I just didn’t like the way that they show it at MSRP, get a bunch of interest from members here, so they raise it $3,000, then more interest from here, so let’s raise it another $3,000. All because I was trying to help them sell it and hopefully get a member here a fair price.

Now I see that they pulled it off their website, so who knows what’s going on. The sales guy I recommended said that he never received one call about the car.

I sold vehicles for 34 years and never did that to a customer, so no I wouldn’t. It’s their dealership, so I guess they can do whatever they want.

Wow is right.

Crazy market we are still in right now. I still shake my head because pre-pandemic these cars were selling for 15-20% off. It will eventually cool off but maybe not so much for the Camaro if it is being sunset soon.

I double-checked with my dealer this morning and they confirmed that they will not tag on any markup to the MSRP quote they gave me when I placed my order. Whew.

Normally, when you order a car they write up a buyers order where you agree to a price so there are no games when the car get here. Most dealer by me will order a car and sell at MSRP but you may wait a long time to get it.

Now, if one shows up, especially used they go nuts with ADM. I think some of the larger dealers have policies where they are not supposed to markup certain models. The Camaro is one of those. They are "supposed" to sell them at MSRP per GM but many don't. The special trims usually get a justified markup because the dealer may get one. I see they are marking up ZR2 Silverados $5k over MSRP. C8s $10-15k. Camaros are MSRP. Regular Silverados, MSRP.

Just bought a Rapid Blue 22 SS/1LE at msrp. For anyone looking, my dealer has a Wht 22 LT1 (#129138) with RS pkg, Carbon Flash wheels, Auto, Satin blk splitter/side rocker pkg, Dual Mode exhaust rear wing spoiler, red calipers, red knee pads Suede steering whl and red seat belts. I jumped on this car at 3k over MSRP, makes me sick to say ( type ) it but given todays market 3k over was ok.

I sold my 2016 C7 A8 Stingray because the market was inflated and I missed shifting gears

I "planned" on waiting for the market to cool off but the summer with no fun/toy car got to me. Here in the PNW all the cars are way over MSRP all the way to the tune of 25k.

Almost bought a used 2022 but even with shipping and the 3k ADM the new car was still cheaper and I wanted a sunroof more than i cared about the PDR, my C7 had PDR I used it once....

So now I wait and waiting sucks.
