An easy way:

Red SS badging = RS
White SS badging = not RS

RS package has color matched ditch molding and smoked tail light lenses. unless you have them side by side the tail light thing is hard to tell.

V8=SS. RS=, at least for a 2010, halos, smoked tail lights, colored ditch moldings, midnight silver wheels and red SS badging.
