Call it a service for the Camaro club ... I know I'd buy one in a second. I'm still shocked no vendor has thought about selling a product to fix this.

Another member is said to be working on a nice solution that fits right in there and matches up...

Wanted to share a pic of the rubber baseboard idea for those interested.

I picked up a piece of Black Dahlia rubber baseboard from Lowe's for $1.89. The great thing about it is the curved lip that tucks perfectly in-between the dash and windshield. This piece is a bit lighter than the dashboard (in the pic the car is also has the sun) but it it's hardly noticeable and likely less so to those that don't know what it is. It's also long enough for two pieces, in case you want one for testing and one to "dress up" a bit.

It might not be perfect but hey, $2 fix and much easier than fanangling a microfiber towel into this space. I'll probably just keep it there unless I actually need to defrost.

Angry Window Fogging

My 2017 2SS has the same severe condensation issue! I live in Louisiana and with the high humidity it's a safety issue. Dealer has no fix. Called GM and they were no help. Now I'm stuck with a 50K lemon. Not happy. Only way to get less condensation is put temp up,but still fogging! I have raised hell with dealer and they say it normal. It's NOT! Love the car, but it's a hazard in the humid south? Need to get an attorney to get anywhere, so sad!

Start with filing complaints with the BBB and the attorney general before spending money on a lawyer that's the route I'm taking and if I can't get restitution through that process then it's time to lawyer up! It's pretty simple to do we need to start holding these dealers and GM accountable!

Wait until the summer and there is 300% humidity outside . That's when it*seems to happen.

Or this issue has been resolved for the 2017 model year.

I've used it when it has been well into the 80's and relatively humid, nothing. I haven't even used recirc yet, which they say helps it. So even on a summer day with more humidity I hope it stays like this, or at the very worst I just get a couple small spots...which wouldn't bother me as I'm tall.

windshield fogging up

Guys it isn't affected by humidity but by dew point. Dew points between like April-October in Florida are usually between 70-75. If you have your air on and set colder than the dew point, any air hitting the windshield will cool the windshield below the dew point and will cause the windshield to fog up.

Right now it's 79 in Tampa with a dew point of 64. If I was to blast the A/C on max I would imagine my window would fog, but what sucks is during the summer when it's 80 at 8am, 75 dew point, and your front windshield is fogging up because you have it set to 75 or lower.

I've lost many weeks with my car so Chevy/GM can research this. The engineers concluded that the amount of air that 'bleeds' from the defrost vent, even when you don't want air coming out of it, is working as it was designed.
