As for CBs? yea.........theres NOW an app for that. Why get the CB when you got one on your phone? Though I doubt theres many that use it. WAZE app. one of the best apps on the market. Beats a radar detector on interstates ( though always good to have 2 levels of precaution) down south anyway.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but I've never understood it. Especially when someone states, "The wife gave me the green light to...."

I agree with using the CB radio app, but as for the other forms of technology, what they're missing is the personal interaction.

personal interaction is the way of the past man. Sad but look at the way things are going? Look at management and corporate levels. So much BS now? They want yes men. No buck the system or you're not a good fit. Robots is what they want. Program it without worry. I feel for my kids but I'll be old and I'll tell ppl where to go without worry.

But my radar detector doesn't charge me $15/GB for data overages.

I got 30Gb family plan for 2 lines. My gf stays on WiFi. I can’t go through 30Gb when I’m on WiFi at least 1/4 of the time. Waze doesn’t take that much data. It’s a gps system.

Ive used cbs in my Nova, because I lived in the country. It could still be used today to talk while driving as a group somewhere. I'm contemplating running the Hot Rod Power Tour next year, might be fun along the route.

I wonder if with recent cellphone laws, one can get cited for using "a handheld electronic device while operating a motor vehicle on a street or highway unless that device is specifically designed or configured to allow hands-free use and is used in that manner."

Note: It seems Oregon is in the clear - "This new law does not apply to the following: Using a two-way radio: CB users, school bus drivers, utility truck drivers in the scope of employment."

I was just thinking about this post when I heard the news. What are the chances of this thread being made at the same time.
