Not really liking it. Glad I bought an 18. The 6th gen front looks way more menacing. Its like the designer got high and starting drawing all these lines on the front while looking at a honda civic.

I think the front end has too much a 'smiley face' appearance to it.
Not really the look I'm going for . . . |

I like the old tails more as well.. they look mean at night vs this new "" style
Interior seems virtually unchanged except for slightly different background for the LCD gauges and the new infotainment UI. I just really want to upgrade to that new UI and I'll be happy. |

I personally think it looks pretty decent. I'm not ganna trade my 17 2SS for it... but it is on par as to what I was expecting to happen...
I personally dont really see the point of a 10 Speed Auto for anyone daily driving these cars, just plainly overkill. If you're super competitive at a track then yes I can see the reason..but even my 8 Speed Auto is way more than enough on the street. The real turn on for me though is the V6 Turbo 1LE ... I am at the edge of my seat waiting on performance numbers for those and the MSRP as well.. that car will be a force to reckon on a track. A V8 Turbo 1LE will be just plainly a monster when it comes to modding...you're looking at a 10 sec car EASILY without doing much work to it. |

I could not pinpoint my initial descriptions other then "not as sinister" in some other posts, but "smiley face" is a good one -and one that I see as well when I squint my eyes. It's a funkified droopy, smiley face 2019 Silverado hit a Dodge and an Audi on the way down. It's amazing what the placement of an emblem can do. |

"New LED taillamps with a more sculptured evolution of Chevrolet’s signature dual-element design; red lenses are featured on LS and LT, with RS, SS and ZL1 featuring dark-tinted neutral-density lenses"
We need more pics of both style taillights and the entire rear ends of different models...Can't tell much from just that one pic...Diffusers are different also.... |

15-20 years from now I think people are going to look at the muscular looks of 14-15 1LE's and the 16-18 6th gen ss's as aging well. i'm not sure what tf they were thinking with this but I don't think sales are going to increase to put it gently.
These are going to be bargain basement performance cars in 3-5 years though.

My thoughts
Hood - Improvement if it remains functional Lighting - Awesome especially the tail lights which look like a modern rendition of the 2010. This is besides noting that they thrifted the leds off of the lower trim level. Powertrain - 10 speed is nice but expected and not a surprise to most Front bumper - Most controversial. Bowtie relocation kits will be a hot item. With that change it will grow on many. Wheels: Not great but are easily changed and im sure other options will be offered. If it's anything like the 14 refresh these wont be available long. |

Good: video rear view camera, 10 speed auto, V6 wheels, SS hood.
Bad: everything else. SS front end looks like a shrunken Silverado/Malibu mess, new taillights like look absolute garbage, SS wheels look like cheap aftermarket horrors. What a disappointment. I think this finally takes the Camaro off the table for me as a possible replacement for my 5th gen. |
