Introducing Soler Prf. Total Throttle Control

Throttle controllers, or perhaps better-called pedal controllers, are often compared and compete with modified/ported throttle bodies for the best or more transformational modification for a limited budget. The truth is; they are part of the same system and do not compete with each other, they rather complement each other. The pedal response is where it all starts, interfacing with the driver, and the throttle valve (body) response characteristic airflow curve is where it all ends, interfacing with the engine air. Therefore no throttle modification is complete without taking care of these two ends of the system. If these two modifications are already competing for the first spot on their own, just imagine them working together.

Introducing Total Throttle Control, the perfect match of our Modified Throttle Bodies and our Throttle Controller, for a fully customizable experience of pedal feel and throttle performance.

Both very easy to install, warranty-safe, transformational, and affordable package.

It does looks nice but does it bring anything to the table that the others don't, for those of us that already own other brands, or would it just be a sideways move? I have a Soler throttle body and a Vitesse controller and am pleased with the results.

You are all set, then. Nothing new to the table, just more reasonably priced, a few more settings, and we think it looks better aesthetically. I wouldn't buy another TC if I were you.

And thanks for being one of our customers.

Thank you for the honest answer. Anyway yours definitely looks nicer and less than half the cost for anyone looking. For folks under warranty its a no brainer mod, toss in the Soler TB and it really transforms the car.

Will this work on any trim level? Like the V6/2.0T?

I reviewed the installation and operation documents on the website, and I'm wondering how this works with the different throttle modes from the factory? Does the car need to be locked into a specific mode prior to installing the throttle controller (if so, does it matter which one?), or does this TC completely override the factory modes once installed, even when switching between modes (I alternate between Tour and Sport pretty often)?

Their website says SS/ZL1 only.

Yes for the TC. We'll get to your TB eventually, stay tuned.

And thanks for asking.

Hi, Lazer. Good question, thanks for asking.

It scales the factory throttle map for whichever mode you are in. What you may find is that you may have to adjust TC down (at a single touch of a button) if you think it is too much depending on your taste and skills, especially in a track or any HPDE. For street driving, it is not a factor.

Not overriding at all, you get to keep whichever tune you have and that also keeps the TC electronically untraceable.

Will this allow a sharp responsive throttle blip like a cable operated throttle?

Similar, it will simulate linear power delivery in performance 2 mode level 5 (P2.5) when combined with out TB's.

Part of the sharp throttle response in the cable operated ones came from the fact that the TB's used to be of the straight bore type (cylindrical) and they used a separate idle control valve for low MAF needs.

Our TB's are an approximation to those straight bore TB's and this is why the combination with the TC makes them quasi-linear. They are also vehicle specific, made to our prints/requirements, inspected and tested to our standards, and backed by our warranty and customer support.
