Door handle

The door handle on my 2017 RS is cutting my fingers every time i get in and out of the car went by the dealership 3 weeks ago to see what could be done, they were supposed to have ordered it, should i call the dealership to see if it has come in or keep waiting patiently

Papercut Camaro.

Anyone else having this issue?

No problem on mine, what part of the handle is cutting you? and are you talking about interior or exterior handle?

A friend of mine with a Zl1 has the same issue, took it to the dealer and they told him they have to order a whole door panel to get the part.....

Inside door handle, the chrome keeps peeling on the inside of the backside of the oval circle, so when I go to grab it it cuts me.

Call the parts dept. as many times as you see necessary. That’s why they are there. To provide you a service. Sometimes that’s what it takes to get these guys to do something. They’ll tell you they will call you when the part comes in, but they almost never do. Just sayin.

Man that totally sucks! I am sure its going to be an issue for other people on the forum, but my concern is that if it gets fixed it will just keep happening again and again unless GM changes the part to something that wont peel, so in this situation hopefully a better aftermarket part becomes available, how many miles on the vehicle when it started peeling?

This happened to a fellow 6th gen owner I know but on the passenger side interior door handle.

15,000 Miles and I have made an appointment for the chrome peeling on both interior door handles

I had the same issue with my door handle (driver's side) and the dealer replaced it under warranty.
I saw online the entire door panel has to be removed.

I would bug the dealership to get the part.

Keeps cutting people!

no call or ETA from dealership, going to have to use some ugly tape to wrap the handle

I had the same issue with my 1LT around 10k miles. Now I have 2SS same issue again. Chrome is peeling off. They said they ordered the parts, it's been 3 weeks yet no parts coming in. I guess they are still dealing with back orders from strike times.

I had to email GM and was contacted a few times by the GM rep. I was told they are just waiting for the passenger side, my concern is that it will just peel again. I will ask my dealer to give me the original handles so I can get them painted or re chromed.
