I received one of the first Anderson Composites ZL1 1LE wings. The quality is 9/10. I'm happy with the purchase.

The undersides of the stanchions were a little rough and they didn't include mounting gaskets. I made them out of the 3M tape posted above, but a factory type gasket would have been nice. Carbon weave is almost flawless and gel coat is perfect. I reused the factory nuts and resealed them with some RTV. 9/10 is a thumbs up for a part that costs 1/4 the factory piece. I think Anderson Composites is going to sell a lot of these.

Do the stanchions fit flush with the trunk? I know that is/was an issue with C7Carbon's edition.

Agreed on the 3M tape. I ended up contacting 3M and discussed the application - they were very helpful and recommended their VHB tape #5952. It went on easy, just used an exacto to trim right in the recess of the edges of the stanchions. So far have had no problems with it.
As far as the anderson composites spoiler, that seems like an great deal compared to the other aftermarket 1LE wings, and is way cheaper than even buying a take-off OEM one, I'm sure they will have plenty of customers for it. Wish I would have known they were coming out with this. |
