Was sold a GM tech training vehicle!
So I have just been informed that my 2016 2SS was a training vehicle for technicians in Michigan. It has been at a dealership in Tennessee for almost 4 months now because the transmission will not shift out of 1st gear. They say that they spoke with one of the trainers at the GM Tech facility in Michigan and he has told the techs at this particular dealership to cut into my main harness and see if there is a 4 ohm resistor in there that was purposely put in there to create a fault... So now my thinking is....what's next?! It only has 6496 miles on it...smh! Do you guys think I should keep this thing or push for a buyback?

Yikes!!!Did you know it’s prior history when you purchased it? I’d make them buy it back and run as far as you can from whoever sold it to you! Good grief!

Seems like that kind of a problem would be there from Day 1. Did you notice any problems on the test drive before you purchased it? How long have you owned the car and how many miles on it since you bought it?

Did they give you some kind of rebate for it being a training vehicle? If not then I would ask for your money back and purchase one somewhere else.

Was never given any indication of its prior history...I only put 4000 miles on the car before it broke down on me. I bought it in July and it broke down in September. I just found out about it being a training vehicle this morning...

Not sure what would have caused the "malfunction" other than sitting in traffic in Pigeon Forge. It had not been in that kind of traffic prior to that. Maybe that's why it did it?

I don't think they're allowed to resell training cars, they were always scrapped according to my instructors, because most were buybacks = unfixable.
