Remote Fob receiver not covered by GMEPP

I took my 2017 SS in for "No Remote Detected" condition which I was experiencing and found out that the GM extended warranty (GMEPP) does not cover the receiver located in the trunk and is a part of the electrical system. I only have 9800 miles and was out of factory warranty October 30th 2019 just 3 months ago. I am trying to get GM to do a good will coverage since there is also a TSB on the issue. Wow I could not believe they did not cover it under GMEPP. It cost me $322.00 for the receiver.

My dealer stopped selling GM's extended warranty because it didn't cover as much as the Allstate plans.

The part is only $40.00 and you have to reprogram the fob $125.00

It wasn't the remote it was the receiver located in the trunk that receives the signal from the remote.

Have you used any of the Allstate Plans?

Did a GM dealer do it for you? If so I got screwed by paying $320.
