Anyone else get their Camaro mistaken for something else?

Every once in a while, non car people mistake my car for a Vette or a Mustang.. "Nice Corvette man" or "Sweet Mustang".. Something along those lines. I usually just say thanks and go about my day. It's close enough I guess

I was wondering if anybody else gets their car mistaken for something else? How do you react when this happens?

Occasionally, someone says they like my Corvette. When I first bought my car and went to show it to my sister and brother-in-law, a drunken neighbor started yelling that my car was a piece of s#it, looked like s#it and I was a pu$$y for buying a “mustang” or something like that. But, even recently, I mostly get compliments about our 6th gen.

Yeah ones a while people think it’s a Mustang but mostly they don’t know what it is as you don’t see much Camaros here.

They constantly call it a corvette, and never once after telling them its a 1LE can they get it straight lol.

The best quote was from a ~8 year old after a car show at Coquina Beach last year. I'm coming back to the car after a walk on the beach. Top was up, and there's a couple boys admiring the car. From 100' away I hit the remote start. The kids jump and look around. Then I opened the top as I walked up.

Not related to my Camaro, but on my Tiburon. A coworker came to me and asked if my car was a Tesla because of the big T logo (the tuscani logo).

Was pretty funny (something like 100k difference in price tag).

When I had my SS in the Corvette Museum for a car show one of the ladies that worked there walked by it before the Museum was open and made the comment “ I didn’t know they had started putting the bow tie on the front of the Corvettes “. I just smiled and said yea on the ZR1s.

Funny thing was I had several Corvettes setting around my SS and everyone kept coming up to mine asking if they could take their picture in front of it.

I can see why, the 6th gens don’t say camaro anywhere but that small badge that people can’t read. I might change mine for that black camaro word from the redline edition.

Yesterday I’m in Michigan and a guy in a Roush mustang goes by and says"nice vette"...
