Just purchased used SS .... trying to identify wheels??
Hello!
It’s been a while since I’ve been on the forum. I used to own a CGM 10’ 2SS/RS but sold it once we started popping kids out all over the place. We’ve slowed down on that and we recently drove home another 10’ 2SS/RS that came on the market. 10K price tag. 200,000 miles. One owner prior. But clean as the day is long inside and out (8.5/10 outside and 9/10 inside). Very strong car. Clean carfax. However the wheels are tripping me out and I was hoping to see what everyone else thought. They look like the factory 5 spokes BUT no bow tie centercap. Also it looks like both front and rear wheels are same size. The front tires are 245 and the wheel pokes a tad out from them. The rear is 275 and they fit flush and fine. What gives? My guess is either the old ones had curb rash and were replaced or maybe they were stolen off car and these are the replacements? I suppose I could speculate all day but. Can anyone identify what they might be? Borrowing finding the past owner I’m not sure how I will ever know. Any insight as to what brand or anything would be appreciated. Glad to be rowing my own gears again! Patrick

There are a couple replica manufacturers out there. Look for the oem part numbers. Could also just be generic new caps.

Those look like the OEM replicas they sell on Tirerack.com. I don't think any of those wheels came polished like that from the factory, they were painted and cleared Midnight silver I think the color was..

OEM wheels will usually have the gm part number on the reverse

That car looks like new for having that many miles on it.
