throttle body & tune NO GAIN

After a BBK throt body and tune my 2016 SS A8 made no gain at all. The car has drag radials and axle back exhaust. I wasn`t looking for a ton but I think there should have been a little. One question I have is, does GM build these cars with some left on the table power wise or are they pretty much full on from the factory? Any help?

Throttle body, either ported stock intake or MSD, flex fuel sensor, E85 tune gives noticeable gains. Gotta tune the tcm as well for max effect.

Well I wouldn't of wasted money on a BBK TB for starters. And on 93 octane the factory tune is pretty optimized from GM. I have seen gains of around 9-10whp from a tune alone. I would suggest doing a little bit of research before you start buying parts.


Ported Stock IM/TB - 17whp

Rotofab dry- 8-10whp

Cat delete pipes- 10-15whp or Cat less Longtube Headers 25whp

E85 flex fuel tune - 25whp

King: Is the appx 17whp from ported IM/TB independent of the LTs and RF? (Just got mine back from PRAY and although I havent given it a thorough thrashing yet, it seems to be noticeable in the SOTP.)

All the gains I listed are independent. All the mods together should yield 60+ whp.

Who do you recommend to port a stock intake and what E85 flex fuel kit. I ask about this in my last post but have got no responce.

Funny, my setup is exactly that. Pray Ported intake manifold, Soler Performance throttle body, Roto-Fab dry, New Era Performance cat delete pipes, with a flex fuel sensor running E80 and a tune. Net gain :61 WHP.
