Magnuson 2650 Fueling

I've been trying to decide what I want to do as far as fueling goes to make some decent power with the blower. I've narrowed it down to 2 options. The low side fuel with be upgraded in either scenario.

Option A +38% fuel lobe cam

Option B Big Bore HPFP and +30 or +65 injectors

Obviously option B is more expensive, but I'm wondering if option A would make the HPFP work too hard over time and fail and then I lose the motor

I've seen a few do option A, but has anybody done option B? What kind of power did you make?

What are your end goals as far as power?

All besides the 2650 is bone stock down to the air filter.

800+, but it would be nice to be able to run e85, which I don't think I could do with option A

You're doing a cam either way. The LPE BB pump only flows 10% more fuel than the LT4 HPFP.

Option A will get you to 800whp no problem. Possibly even close to the 900s.

I understand your question, but this is option ‘A’ in my opinion. Just bolt ons with race gas will get you past the 800 rwhp Mark .

So, no fueling mods other than race gas mix? Any idea what it was at on 93? Those are the same mods in one of my options I am trying to choose from in another thread.

Option A was a cam with a +38% fuel lobe to drive the LT4 HPFP.

You won't need +65% injectors with the LPE Big Bore pump by any means. I have +30% injectors in mine with the LPE pump and they are out running the pump, even with a 38% lube and a low side system that stays above 80psi at WOT.

Also, speaking from experience, the LPE pump is great, but stay as far away as you can from their LT4 injectors!!!! We went through three sets and they were all DUCKING JUNK. In LPE's defense, they did buy them back when we proved that they were not working properly.

Good to know...whose injectors did you wind up with?

I was referring to the car in the video, what did it have done to aid in fueling?

E85 at that power level can be difficult. If you're serious about it you really need to go all out on the fuel system. Low side, high side, cam and injectors. Remember E85 requires 30% more fuel which is already a pressure commodity on these engines. It's easier and cheaper to make more power by adding boost instead of E85 if that makes sense. If you're looking for 800rwhp I would do the low side and a cam. You can probably get by with just the low side upgrade but your high side will be pretty tapped out unless you overdrive the cam.

Yep, I'm at about 852 on race fuel just with the Lt4 fueling and 1000 cc meth/water injection. I do have a boost a pump for the low side. I have the BTR stage 2 cam with 38 % lobe
