Holy crap, I didn’t realize that our EPA mileage was 15 MPG - I thought that my personal 17 MPG in mixed driving was low - it’s actually better than the EPA estimate.

That’s a lot of dinosaur juice!

Interesting how much lower these fuel economy figures are than those of my 2018 2SS, see below... the only real differences should be the lack of AFM, the extra 200 pounds of weight and the parasitic loss of the LT4 supercharger. I don't think the EPA driving cycle calls for WOT or even medium throttle operation would be necessary at this power level, so the supercharger should be bypassed during the test cycle.

Also note how my smog rating was 1 but this 2017 ZL1 got a rating of 5, even if regulations changed or new ones kicked in from 2017 to 2018, this is quite a dramatic change and in the "wrong" direction

I can say, my zl1 sucks way more fuel than my 2ss. People told me, but I didn't believe it, but its definitely true, unfortunately.

Was gonna say the same thing. On my 2023 the smog rating is a 1 and I was shocked when I saw a zl1 be rated better but then I realized the standards must have changed between now and 2017. Sounds like 2018 was the change based on yours being a 1 too.

This 2017 zl1 window sticker made me sad though. If they still msrp’d at 64k I would have definitely gotten a zl1 instead haha.

That extra 200 hp has to be fed Booher! 👍Mine definitely drinks 93 octane as compared to the 2010 2SS and 2016 2SS I used to own but not much more than the modded 2010.
