Whaddya Think?
Painted the engine cover, air intake, fuse cover on my 2LT/RS AND the "Chevy" symbol on the underhood pad.
Used Gloss Black for plastic by Vlaspar (avail at Lowes) for the black parts. Used Dupli-Color "Caliper Paint" with ceramic for the silver parts (main cover of the engine cover and the Chevy symbol on the under hood pad). Red paint for the engine cover stipes Dupli-Color high temp paint with ceramic. Use blue masking tape by 3M. Make sure you wash everything (except hood pad) with grease removing dish soap, and as extra measure, wipe with rubbing alcohol. Let everything dry at least one hour. All parts (except underhood pad) were also painted with Valspar Plastic Primer. Total $25.00 All parts were given mutiple light coats and a hair dryer used to help dry the paint given the weather on Long Island is damp from weeks of rain. All parts were removed prior to painting including the hood pad. The hood pad was removed by removing the 8 or so push in disks that hold it on. Use a interior panel removal tool (avail at most auto parts stores) so you don't destroy the disks or the pad. $6.00 Finally the "Chevrolet" lettering was bought from the Sticker Witch. Specifically the lettering for the door sills. $20.00 Total cost paint, interior panel remover and masking tape about $55.00.

Looks fantastic! But I also agree that the Chevrolet sticker on the engine cover is too much. Personally I'd peel that one off.
Good job!!

I like the colors in the engine compartment, but I dont know if I would have done the Hood pad.

Chevy on hood pad a bit much, I would have put the other chevrolet on on the just the silver of the cover. JMO
The rest is great. Good idea. Any graphics place can make one to your specs. |

Looks sweet! Only thing I would have done differently is put the red chevrolet stickers on only the silver, but it's all your preference (or what stickers are available).

Great job. I really like the RJT stripes on the cover. I think the hood liner is a good touch too. Chevy actually sells something similar to that for the C6's.

I like it. I think the two chevy's were designed to mirror each other.

You beat me to it. I thought it was a 95. On a 96 the little black strip by the parking/fog light area would be body colored. They were black on a 95, body colored on a 96. I think that was about the only difference.
