Man I hope mine's already built!!! The dealerships to be closed are to be announced tomorrow. This may be very interesting if dealers actually have any recourse against GM. Good thing, it may delay the bankruptcy preceedings, allowing more of our cars to be built before a shutdown.

Someone's bitter. Only kidding, I understand where you're coming from, 2SSRS, and you are definitely entitled to your feelings, even if they're anti-GM. This just hasn't played out like most of us thought it would....some can accept it, some can't.

6500-7000 dealers is FAR FAR FAR too many in this day and age. No need to have a Chevy dealer every 3 miles in the same town.

sorry but the dealers are pretty much SOL here. once GM/chrysler declare thats pretty much the end of any agreement.

hopefully though there is some sort of concession put in place for already sold cars (camaros). I also thought someone had said it would be the end of the year before any of this were to take place. it woudlnt just be come june 1st 2000 dealers out of luck.

Would be nice if this was just a way of weeding out all the bad apple stealerships we've been hearing about on these threads. Would be really bad news for the honest buy dealership to lose out.

Well, what the hell have we got to be happy about at this point?

Let's see.

1. GM's going to go bankrupt. We just don't know which Chapter yet.
2. Alot of us really want this car, but because they couldn't get production right off the start, we're stuck in a GD 8 week holding pattern just because our names aren't Hendrick, Gordon, Stewart or Dr. Phil.
3. We may never get the cars that are sitting there depending on how it's ruled.
4. GM totally F'd up this whole process and they don't know how to fix it.
5. How do you do testing around the world in hot, cold, dry, wet, climates and build 700+ CTF cars but you can't get the first 3000 out of the plant right and you ship them to another facility for repair, I mean retrofit.

Flame all you want, call me a whiner, whatever. I've been waiting for this car just like everyone else and forgive me for WANTING something that I've put a deposit down 7 friggin months (it was actually a lot longer) ago and nobody within a company the size of GM can tell you what the status of a car that's been built for 8 weeks is.

I hope they do go bankrupt after all the BS we've had to sit back and watch as people who don't even give a shit about this car except that it's the "in thing" right now can walk in and drive out in while the enthusiasts who willingly gave their money just sit and wait.
