I test drove a 1le m6 when I already had a 10 speed SS being built. I was a little disappointed it was noticeably more tame than the 1le but it was still an amazing car.

I have the A10, so that could be it. Still sounds good, don’t get me wrong, but certainly tamer than expected.

Ditto. Definitely enjoyed the exhaust on the M6 more than the 10spd and the 6M did not have NPP.

Now it's just a matter of getting it off the Lansing lot and onto a shipping yard before Sept. 15th at midnight and they lock the gates. The more I think about the ramifications of a strike the more I believe there will not be one, or it won't last long. The majority of those who want to go on strike probably do not have enough of a financial cushion to absorb months or even more than a few weeks on the picket line.

Just received message from my dealer that my 2024 ZL1 radiant red is built. only been waiting 15 months from 1 dealer for a 2023 to 3 dealers for my 2024. Finally got one built from the smallest dealer. Now wait for it to ship up to Alberta. And yes the other 2 dealers gave me my deposit back asap as soon as I told them I got my build.

will know in a few days what the outcome is. I'm accepting the 'worst case' scenario for myself in which my car isn't scheduled to be built until after the strike ends :/ , likely a 2024 TPW, and who knows when it will be delivered.

Hi guys, I'm new here but I've been lurking for a while...
Spoke with 2 local dealers last week, and one submitted an order for me. The salesman said there was no commitment to buy, because he knows he could sell it in 5 minutes if I changed my mind. But he said the chances of it getting built is a coin-toss, because they don't sell many camaros so he might not get an allocation. The next dealer I talked to offered to order it for me, but they require $1000 non-refundable. But they don't have any allocation right now. I said I didn't want to pay that. So I spoke with the manager, he said he can save the options I picked out in his workbench, and keep an eye weekly to see if he gets an allocation, and if there are any constraints that would prevent it from getting accepted. If they get one, he will call me and see if I still want to pay the $1000 and submit the order. So thats where I am right now... just wait and see if it was meant to be. I currently have a Challenger R/T that I picked up last spring, a left-over 2022. I've been wanting a Camaro for a while but really wanted to test drive one. Nobody ever had any in stock, and when they did they wouldn't let me test drive it. Finally I just decided to take a chance and make the jump to GM. Hopefully the reviews online are true about how great they are. And hopefully they build me one. |

I work at GM and I don't think a strike will last long. I truthfully want some time off. We have been working unlimited overtime the last 2 years. Last year we did 90 days straight of 7 12s. The company is currently pushing or another 90 days straight of 7 12s. I'm already forced in Saturday unless there's a strike and I already volunteered fir 12 Sunday. Most of us want a break. We all know once we come back it will be mandatory 7 12s again anyway so even if your short on cash you will have the opportunity to make it back. |

Strike could play into things, too. Either way, super exciting to see that VIN. Now I have plenty of time to shop for insurance!
