Have to decide what to order

Going to trade my 2016 2LT/RS vert on either a new 2SS camaro vert or a used C7 this summer. The C8 Stingrays are just too expensive anymore, even though I love that hard top vert.

I'm not sure what would be the better thing to get. If I want the A10, wireless AA & the rear view camera mirror then the new camaro is the way vs a used C7.

Opinions?

The A10 and rear-view camera mirror were standout features of a 2019 2SS I rented, which convinced me to upgrade from a 2016 1LT to my 2021 3LT.

Here's a photo album I posted about the 2019:

I've had both. They are each very fun cars in their own ways. Camaro if you need a backseat; c7 if you don't. My c7 was the most fun I've ever had in a car and may not ever be beaten for me personally.

Have you had many mechanical problems with it? A used one im looking at had the A8 transmission & My camaro has some shudder issues. Dont want to deal with it in another car.

My Camaro was the a10 and my vette was a manual. I don't have any experience with the a8 in a Camaro or Corvette. I did buy a used 2017 Cadillac CTS that had the a8. It had about 27k miles when I got it and definitely had the beginnings of the shudder. I had the fluid flushed under warranty and then promptly sold it. I don't blame you for not wanting to mess with shudder issues.

SS and C7 stats nearly identical. I've had both, have a new 2SS on order, found the C7 cramped but fun to drive. Like the 'Vert Camaro better for cruising , quieter.

Personally, I really preferred the look of the 2016-18 Camaro, but ultimately went with a 2020 because I didn't want to deal with the possibility of the A8 shudder.

One thing to consider, regarding the rear view camera mirror. I'm near-sighted and wear glasses or contacts to correct my vision. Due to that, when I switch my rear view camera mirror on, I have difficulty focusing on the screen, even though I love the way it looks. Even when I'm wearing bifocals, either section looks blurry because that particular distance is right in between my focus points I guess. The regular mirror is fine, and I don't really have any issues seeing anything I need to see out of the rear window. So I have to leave mine off.

I am a bit bigger than average, so the Camaro is a no-brainer. I actually love the C6 Corvette though, but it's not happening because I am keeping my LT-1 forever.

Yeah, this is our world past 40-45 (sigh), focusing to and defocusing from close objects is more and more of a pain. I don't even miss the rear camera mirror in my 2018 for this reason, even though Gen5DIY does sell an upgrade package.
