Diode Dynamics smoked side markers

Hello everyone! I’m really concedering picking up a pair of smoked side markers for my Camaro SS. To those who have them I have a couple questions.
1: Do they reflect lightlike stock side markers?
2: To my Michigan drivers. Is it legal to have non amber and red side markers?

If you can answer these questions or post pictures of what your car looks like with them I’d apprechiate is a lot!
Thank you in advance!

1. There's no reflection from these. 2. No clue. I can tell you I blacked out the side markers on the CTS I had before the SS so I've passed countless cops with black markers in the past few years with no legal issues.

I have these side markers.

1. They do reflect light, but to a lesser extent than the OEM markers and not in color, front and rear markers look the same grayish, darker white when not on and illuminated by another light source.

2. Technically, no, they're illegal; in practice, I have no idea, being a NJ driver (but here I've never heard of any case of drivers getting pulled over solely for these).

MICHIGAN VEHICLE CODE (EXCERPT)
Act 300 of 1949

257.689 Clearance and marker lamps and reflectors; color.
Sec. 689.
(a) Front clearance lamps and those marker lamps and reflectors mounted on the front or on the side near the front of a vehicle shall display or reflect an amber color.
(b) Rear clearance lamps and those marker lamps and reflectors mounted on the rear or on the sides near the rear of a vehicle shall display or reflect a red color.
(c) All lighting devices and reflectors mounted on the rear of any vehicle shall display or reflect a red color, except the stop light or other signal device, which may be red or amber, and except that the light illuminating the license plate shall be white.

Well according to this they should be legal. As soon as you turn the car on they will light up and display the colors required by the law. When the car is parked and turned off then they will be dark or white or whatever option you choose when buying them.

They don't reflect much, but I don't think cops are too concerned with these :P

Not trying to gasp at straws, but I think the idea is that markers should reflect amber and red at all times, even when the car has all its lights off. Then again, I also run these DD side markers, never had any issue with the law, and of course any scenario for reflection to be an actual problem would be contrived.

I have these markers. I purchased them in 2020. Keep an eye on your rear passenger marker. I have had 2 that burn out half way down. Both times, DD replaced them with no issues. I am waiting to see if the third one will burn out, as it only happened after a few months. If you have to replace one, talk to Dakota at DD. Really stand up customer service!

YES!

Every now and then I lose all the pressures except the passenger rear., usually after the car has been on 20-30 minutes. Then, when I start the car the next time, everything works again. It's very random but pretty infrequent.

Problem started immediately after installing the DD markers*

Yes I have the same problem, and we replaced them 3 times. Never resolved it. I only get the error from one of the TPMS when the headlights are on.
