AWE tips a little crooked

Let me start by saying I love the look and the sound except… the passenger side tips are a little crooked. I’ve loosened the clamp that connects the muffler and tried to twist it into place but can’t get it any closer than the picture below. It seems like the hanger just won’t allow the muffler to turn enough to get them level. Any suggestions?

I had the same issue. They can be a pain to get just right. I just got them as close as I could and rolled with it.

you can put a long extension or prybar in the tip/tailpipe and adjust them slightly...a little tweak is all that is required

Don't pry anything like mentioned above. You will probably need to loosen the clamp that connects to the H-pipe/X-pipe (whichever you have). That should allow the whole thing to twist a bit further.

I said a "little tweak" and if all else fails it will work as I stated if the tips do not align

They are easy enough to adjust. Just one bolt per tip I believe

The tips are independent of the muffler, I have the same AWE system, you shouldn't need to bend a hanger or anything like that.

Take the tips off and if the pipes are not aligned, then the tips wont be! As Stephen said, take a pry bar and see if you can straighten them to your liking.

You need to find out whether we're discussing just the tip(s) here or if the pipe is the problem...Very important.

I had the same issue and this fixed it for me, too.

I don’t think this is a tip adjustment issue but rather the muffler needs to be rotated. I’ve taken the tips off, loosened the exhaust clamp, and attempted to rotate the muffler clockwise so that the inner exhaust outlet goes up. But the rear hanger is keeping the support bar from going down which is where it needs to go when I rotate the muffler. I’m not too keen on taking a prybar to try and bend it but I honestly think that’s the only way to get it in the position it needs to be for the tips to be level. So I’ll probably just have to live with a droopy tip and a great sounding exhaust.

It's not the tips.. that's mostly for adjusting how far they stick out. As mentioned take the tips off and you will see the pipe is most likely not straight. Or just leave them on and loosen it up further forward to adjust.

Loosen here and then use the tweek method.

Yep. That’s the clamp I referred to as the exhaust clamp. I haven’t Tried sliding the muffler further in or back and rotating yet. Maybe that’ll give the pivot point it needs.
