Good Luck!!
It's a big guessing game right now and it sucks!
I'm giving it 6 more weeks, if no car by then, I'm cancelling our order!

I have this itchy feeling that after the unveiling event this upcoming week, there are going to be a flux of deliveries and people going nuts about finally having there car. I think GM will overwhelm us with deliveries and step up production. The way they did this, honostly in my opinion is great marketing. They put a few cars in buyers hands, a slew of cars available for rent, and a few dealers have cars and more are getting there demo cars. People all over see these cars randomly or go rent it and all of a sudden they want to order. If you deliver all preorders first then you have too many on the street and people start to see it everywhere and say oh its just another Camaro, not enthusiast obviously, but us enthusiast cant save GM alone and sure as hell aren't enough sales to keep the Maro going forever. Thats just my opinion early this morning

Oh back to the thread topic : I think you will easily get it before Feb.

I called around and was able to find a dealership with a single allocation left (I was very fortunate to find that as most did not have any left), and ordered it on 4/21 and was told I should expect it in June. I am realistic that it is likely to be delayed. I am happy to wait though because there is just something special about getting a car that was made for me, vs. just getting one off the lot. Many could just wait until late Summer and pick one up from a local dealership. For me I will wait as long as it takes. Sure it is just a car to most, but as a car enthusiast and an owner of a first gen. it has a special meaning... to me and the many others on this site. Think about how long we have waited from concept till now...for me it is worth the wait especially considering the feedback from those who have received theirs already!

I've read that they expect production to exceed 2000/week (full production) by the end of the month. At the end of April they had ~7800 built (which included the ~6000 dealer cars, the Avis rentals, and pre-orders). I'd guestimate it will be ~14000 total by the end of May, ~23000 by the end of June. Those numbers are far from concrete but they're as good as I can figure. So ... that would cover the bulk of the pre-orders. Then you have everyone that ordered since then, and some of those would be built by the end of June too, given GM's seemingly mysterious build order.

I'd say that, given the number built and the ramp up schedule and orders, you shouldn't expect it to be built before July if you ordered now. So lets say that it would be built in August, to be cautious. Add a few weeks for delivery and delays, you're looking at some time in September as a probable delivery date, assuming that there is nothing that holds it up for too long. That could include constraints, being at the end of a long order list with a dealer that has a small allocation, failing quality control requiring a new car, or any number of other things.
