Working on your 2018 ZL1
I am curious as to how much maintenance can we do on our own cars without the dealers?
I have never worked with any of the computer diagnostic laptops, hand held or software. Hell, I stopped fixing them when the distributor disappeared. I am waiting for a new ZL1 1LE and will I be able to do much work on it? Is there a service manual worth buying and is it available at the dealership? Do I buy and learn how to use one of these small hand held diagnostic computers I see some people use? What is needed to go into the computer to reset the engine oil change light and other display functions? Are these in the owners manual to reset if you choose to change your own oil? Thanks for the help. |

Never again
I just got done installing a front camera on the Zl1 and I swear I will not do another thing to the car. I bought an extended warranty and do not plan on ever working on it again. Installing the camera just about killed me, although a very nice feature. Just to complicated anymore. Good luck?
