LT1 brothers, we may have misjudged our 245's.
I used to dream of traction but I just realized. I havent lost a stoplight race yet! (Knock on wood).
I realized when Im leaving other cars in the distance my car is literally shaking its ass at them. As if to say. "Nana nana boo boo. Stick your head in doo doo." I always thought that was fun and annoying when I was a kid. But as an adult its just better. |

I have lost a few... Against cars I shouldn't of been racing though...
Like the 1K hp vette that had "GAP CITY" on the license plate.... Most don't mess. Can't get a 5.sl0 Mustang to bite.... 99% of the Chargers are a joke. Challengers aren't too far behind. Back to the original statement... No. These cars need bigger bolognas out back. I am scared to hop on it with traction control off. I can bark them on a prep'ed track on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift. The street is ludicrous....

Be careful out there guys. Don’t get caught street racing.

Nooo... not racing... Like walking fast in the hall so the hall monitor doesn't bust you for running!

Not an LT1 but I went from the same square size to the staggered SS set and I feel like I don't have much of a traction issue off lights compared to the few times with the square setup

I don't know, I changed my 245's t a staggered set-up on my LT1, (275/35 - 295/35 Nitto's) and I think my traction went down! cant' keep it from spinning on a controlled launch or poking it in 1st into 2nd!
The only mods I have are dual output catch can, Soler ported TB & K&N panel filter.

I can't grip that good. Same with the modded C6 no matter what tires i had. Plus it is colder in my area now so that don't help. Once the run flats get worn down it is back to the Pilots non run flats.

Which Nitto? If the G2, that one isn't exactly a traction champion according to many here. The new 555RII, however, is a different beast, that would sure work better.

My dad has a beach buggy with 20 year-old MT's that are at least 345's. 1st gear is useless, some tires are just shit. |
