Bolt on/Tune ONLY Camaro ZL1's 1/4 Mile Times

I asked this question a couple of times in other threads but haven't really gotten an answer. Has anybody been to the 1/4 mile with their bolt on/tune ZL1? All the cars on the fast list for the ZL1 are either stock, very light bolt ons with no tune, or bigger builds with heads/cam etc. I'm curious what the car will run with bolt ons and a tune, without opening anything up. I'm especially curious how it will 60 foot with a tune that removes/reduces the torque management that keeps the car from launching as hard as it should.

Freaked me out a little how squirrly it was. Put it in track mode felt better but pulling so hard it gets light in steering. I’ll get to track once it’s all on the car.
Looking forward to how it performs. I find their port injection kit interesting. Being able to supply the fuel needed to make decent power without having to open up the engine for a cam swap is definitely an appealing alternative when wanting to make more power. Especially if you don't want any chop or change in driveability, assuming the port injection system doesn't change the cars road manners.

Now that's what I'm talking about! I didn't see anything about that on here. I wonder what that identical set up would run on 93 octane.

Do you mean pulley and LTs with the tune or are you talking about cai, ported TB, catback, tune, and other simple stuff?

I did 11.8 pretty easily and I am sure that with some effort I can do an 11.6 or faster. Although now I have the mods in my sig. So I would say with a tune thrown in and a good launch low 11s should be doable. If you're talking LTs and pulley and more extensive bolt-ons then definitely 10s all day and tomorrow.

I mean anything that doesn't involve changing engine components, accompanied by a tune. It can be as simple as an intake and tune, or full bolt ons and tune. As long as a tune is thrown in with some bolts ons, or even tune only. That's what I'm curious about. Mostly about how a tune will effect the 60 foot on these cars.

NicKey took the bolt on scenario to the next level. We bolted up a Magnuson 2650 and made approx 740hp pump and 840hp on 1/2 93 and 1/2 race fuel. Bolted up some slicks and ran a 9.90 @ 141. Car was hot and driven to the track, positive DA day on a non prepped track, so there was opportunity for more, but only got two runs in.

So Rotofab, TB, Headers/exhaust and Magnuson 2650.

10's with FBO is absolutely doable. You're looking at mid to low 10's with FBO. Some Hail Mary runs might be in the high 9s.

I have the RotoFab BG, ported TB, BMR lockout, stock exhaust and tuned on E50 and I am running 10:60's on cool days. Running stock front tire and MT ET Street on VMS 17" rear wheel.
