22 1lt GM OE Splitter add-on question
Hi all,
I ordered and installed a front splitter from GM to my 22 1lt. https://accessories.chevrolet.com/pr...allic-84116173 It mostly looks amazing except for one thing. I can see the double sided tape along parts of the edges as if it isnt on all the way. Did I do it wrong or is this normal? Any one with the same lip have damples of what there's looks like up close? Attached is a pic of what I mean. Thanks, J Last edited by Polymongrel; 12-31-2022 at 10:31 AM. |

Ok, I was able to find a 2022 on a lot locally with the same splitter. The gap is very similar to what mine looks like. Interesting how they would allow that kind of tolerance but atleast it gives me enough confirmation to drill the rivet holes now.
Thanks, J |

The only way you likely stand a shot at resolving that is with heat and pressure. You would need to heat the tape (hair dryer would work) and the bumper surface then press everything together and keep pressure on it for a while. This is what I did when I installed the skirts on my car and there is little gap to deal with anywhere and it has held up quite well. In fact, the skirts on my car are installed with no screws - tape only - and zero issues.
