Michelin ps4s S or all season???

Question I was told that the Michelin ps4s S tire I’m guessing Summer hooks a lot better than the all season version is this true. My boy has 850 whp and with the ps4s S type he hooks in 2nd gear with the t-c off

Here’s the video go to 4:16 on the video. big cam/ headers/ 2650 ETC!!

Planning to "hook" in the snow? Or just cold?

What exactly are we trying to achieve here in MD during wintertime with 850 hp? What's the intended use?

It’s not for NOW it’s for next car season, trying to find someone that’s used both that would no if it’s a difference

These exact tires, I have ordered from my favorite Discount Tire shop here in town. They are expensive, but, since I'll only be driving in good weather, they may last a little while!!!! No problem for me ! I've always be a Michelin Man. In fact, when I got my new QX80, it had on it of all things, BF Goodrich's. With only 76 miles on those tires in the first week I owned my new QX80. I went and got (4) new Michelin Defender LTX's! Never regrated doing so.

I have the mps4 all seasons on my car right now. Drives really well, but I bought them specifically for use in colder weather. I’ll be switching them out to 4s summers come springtime

I have them on my 99 Z28 that puts down about 500whp and she's much lighter in the rear than my 6th Gen. It is night and day from all seasons and it hooks better than my 6th Gen on the Stock Goodyears. Even in down pours I am able to cruise through it while other traffic has to slow down. They're pretty impressive and I highly recommend them. They're going on my 6th Gen next.

Hooks from what speed?

I have 735 rwhp and my summer, non-runflat PS4S tires didn't hook from a dead stop even when I had 560, let alone now. One has to roll into the throttle from a stop, temperature has to be at least 70, and even then it's a crapshoot, sometimes it hooks, other times it doesn't. This is not a drag radial, and I imagine the all-season variant is even worse for this purpose.

It's much better from a roll, obviously, just wanted to be sure what you meant by 2nd gear (because I can try to launch from 2nd with the A8, not sure if the A10 allows that).

850whp and he hooks in 2nd gear with ps4s?

Either he doesn’t have 850whp, or he’s putting 100lbs of adhesive on his tires

At 850whp when I had the ps4s it had to be 85F or more and in 4th gear roll and it still spun.

Oh he DEFINITELY IS!! not sure of the temperature or his tire pressure then but he dead hooked on a roll with the S series 2nd gear TC off I know it sounds crazy but it’s true and the tires where still new
