They use to be painted. Then GM stopped doing that to save money and have just one part number. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks guys, at least now I know what color it is supposed to be. Now I know it will match correctly. I feel much better about it now.

How many hot wheels out there are really driving them? I got mine used with 13k miles and plan on putting about 12k/year on it. Love this car.

I drive it less than 9,000 miles per year. Now that I’m working from home, the last time I put gas in it was March 15th. Still has 3/8 tank.

My wife daily drives her HW SS convertible. Instead of taking the truck this morning, she’s got the top down and a blanket in the back seat to get a bunch of potted flowers from the nursery. Just under 30K on hers with no issues. Great looking and fun car. She had a blue 14 V6 convertible. She decided she wanted a new one and a V8 (yeah!). Dealer buddy ordered two blue loaded 2SS convertibles for her to pick from that came in together: a last week of 2018 Model Year (Hyper Blue) and a first week 2019 MY (Riverside Blue). She was going to get one or the other. Our sons and I went up there with her - sitting out front were those and the Hot Wheels. To the amazement of all but her (never liked flashy colors), she said she wanted the Hot Wheels without even looking closely at all at the two blue ones. No regret at all in her mind.

Hit 3K miles on ours before we put it to bed for the winter. Nice car..looks weird without the front air damn and side skirts though.

I plan on putting carbon fiber splitter and skirts on soon. I debated getting another set of the OEM, but I like how the carbon fiber looks on the orange.

Just picked up my 2SS M6 Hot Wheels last week.
1st owner was 19 year old kid that sold it in less then 4 months because insurance was killing him. Second owner sold in less than 5 months not sure what his story was. But it made me the proud owner of it with depreciation eaten up by others so Im not complaining. Has 3800 miles on it. Was not purchased to be a daily driver but just for fun. |

Anyone know of some good sites with tasteful hot wheels mods?
Looking for things like... 1- engine cover (orange or hot wheels related if customized) 2- good decals for windows 3- Wind screen (some orange flare or hot wheels) Fee free to add any other unique things available still. Seems harder and harder to find things as time progresses.

Greetings,
I own a 2018 2SS Hot Wheels vert. Summer use only. I had a 2008 GT500 with tons of mods, but sold it for this sweet ride. I was looking for a more refined car with all the bells and whistles. I went from 775 hp in my GT500 to 455 hp in my 2SS Hot Wheels. Still not disappointed with the power of my 2SS Hot Wheels. Just wondering if there are a few simple mods that could be done to my 2SS that will not void the factory warranty. Any Ideas? Thanks, Edgemere |
