2016SS High pitch buzz coming from dash

Anyone had an issue like this ? Today driving around I notice a high pitch buzz coming from behind dash. Turned stereo off and hvac.
It comes and goes. Sound like a chargered capactor . Any ideas ???
When I turn the car off the buzz whines down like it was a blower motor going off.

A8 trans? I think what you are describing is a high pitch whine. If so, mine does it as well and I am pretty sure it is normal. I can only really hear it at low speeds with the radio off.

I have the exact same problem with my car. Took it to two of my mechanic buddies and both said it was a faulty water pump. One of them actually thought it was my blower until i told him i didnt have one. But the weird part is it goes away sometimes. This car has been nothing but problems for me. I honestly wish i hadn't picked it up or maybe waited at least a year or two instead of jumping on a first year model.

Humm water pump..... I will pop the hood and check that. If the pump is like a LS pump I would doubt that it would cause this noise. If it is electric then it could. I never open the door to listen outside.....

FOUND THE PROBLEM!!!!! The Buzz is coming from the fans in the front drivers seat. (cool seats) I tuned it off and the high pitch wine was gone. the sound changes on the selection of the three speeds of the cool seats.

Thank god cause the dealership would have pulled the dash i am sure:(

Glad you figured it out. I hear the fans as well on mine but they don't have an annoying buzzing sound to them.

Most likely a bearing going out of the fans. Wonder how that will be replaced? I am scared to death to take it in...

Yep my seats are quiet. Definitely sounds like an issue with the fan rubbing or bearings.

They aren't that bad to replace. There is one in the seat cushion, and one in the seat back. Hopefully for you it's the lower one, much easier to do. They use to be serviceable so that you could replace just the blower, looks like it's an assembly now.

looks like this.
