If you do alittle research and maybe some one chime in shortly there was a post a little while ago about a company making an insert to use the stock shift knob with the threaded shifters.

I have been searching for the torque specs for the driveshaft bolts and can't find them. Anyone know the specs or know where I can find them?

I couldn't find them either, but I tightened them similar to feel of loosening them, pretty damn tight with 1/2 in socket wrench.

This short throw is absolutely amazing! If anyone is on the fence about this, I would HIGHLY recommend it. I can't imagine not having it.

How notchy is it? What is the effort increase like when shifting gears?

I have only test driven a couple 6th gen Camaros with the stock shifter. I got my Hurst put on before I took delivery of my 2017. It is a bit notchy, but in a good way. It is so easy to tell what gear you are grabbing quickly. To me, there is very little increase in effort when shifting. It feels just right. Sorry I can't be more detailed, nut I will say again that the shifter, overall, feels factory and like what should have been there in the first place.

I hate you! I really didn't want to have to do this job...

But the Hurst was a great step up on the last car. It's just a matter of time now.

You won't regret it! Downshifting with this and listening to my Borla always puts me in a good mood :-)

Happy to hear that you are enjoying it. We are very pleased with the performance and feel of this shifter. Thanks for the kind words!

Hurst shifter

Before anybody does anything...MGW is supposed to have their product available spring/early summer. I am on the list and am supposed to get a call when available. Peter

I bought the hurst shifter and could not be more pleased with it! Do not wait for the over hyped MGW shifter. I choose to buy an iconic shifter I used in my last Camaro almost 20 years ago.

Too late, I put my Hurst in last July and love it. MGW may make good shifters but it seems their focus is on Mustangs.

Even had to get Wife to help a little, and I never ask for help, unless I really need it. I am kinda slow and picky, took me a lot longer than 2 hours, no lift here, just 4 jack stands. But I think it's worth it. Shifts are super short now, and quick. I'll post some photos.

BTW, I plugged in the skip shift eliminator and it got real warm, almost hot, so I took it out. Is that normal for it to get almost hot?
ever find out why skip shift got so warm?
