Dyno results

2021 ZLE m6 w/ 1100 miles. Baseline run (completely stock) then final run with only Roto-fab CAI. Thoughts?

Nice gain

Still want to see the same test with stock airbox and green filter - expect a significant part of the restriction is the filter itself

Thanks for sharing this, please confirm you didn't tune for the RF CAI. If so it looks like maybe RF with no tune does help with power after all. Many say it does not.

Also please confirm you did only 1 dyno run each, stock vs. RF? Or are there other runs to give you a better data sample? I would have asked for at least 2-3 runs with each, given the time and effort to set it up.

One question, were those runs back to back on the same day?

Otherwise, I fully expected a slight gain in power so I'm not really surprised at all. That's a little more gain than I think some here will swallow so let the discussion begin.

Great numbers! That exact intake was proven to be quite good on my car too.

That's a healthy bump from the intake

Some people say that, but Ted at Jannetty Racing has stated here before that it does make power and I trust his experience. I've seen the power gain firsthand on my own car as well.

Each car is different. I can honestly say my car lost performance with the RF. Though it's not dyno verified, it was track tested...repeatedly. The results were very consistent. It is a great product with very good quality, but for my car, I think a tune is necessary.

I wonder if this is correct. Ive never seen a zl1 stock with that low of torque, esp when its reading in STD. That would be like 485tq which doesn't seem right.

Might just be a non happy dyno.

While that may be true, if it was a before and after dyno, still shows a solid gain. Now, if it was done on different days, all bets are off.

Still doesn't explain the low torque numbers.

No tune. The car was driven about 20 miles to the shop, strapped to the dyno, and ran a few times for an average baseline. The car then cooled down for about 20 min while the Rotofab was installed then ran twice. The first time there was definitely something wrong b/c it only put down about 200hp. The last time was what you see on the graph. I was in a time crunch but i think if we let it cool down again it would have been closer to 570-580. I also thought the torque looked a little low so i am not sure whats going on there.

Thanks Z OH 6 for the intake!

I have a RF with exhaust and have significant gains over stock with no tune, I'm not sure where the gain deniers get their data from.

This is what my 2021 ZL1 A10 made with just a Rotofab and AWE touring catback exhaust, stock tune, (blue line).

SAE was 579.95/580.44 Tq
