Ah the dearly departed R-12. How do we miss thee. In my ‘85 Regal that was black with dark maroon interior I could throw the A/C on Max after it was sitting in 90 degree sun all day and 120 degrees inside and within 30 seconds you could hang meat from the coat hooks.

Easier and more cost effective to control emissions are ONE source vs million sources.
As owner of rip snorting supercharged v8, I've driven electric and their acceleration is NUTS! Deathly quiet to boot. I do enjoy my v8 noises. *conflicted*

Not quite OP, close but not quite

I’m proudly in the camp of good or bad, if it does the job who bloody cares?
Asbestos to this day has the best insulating and fire retardant properties. Who’s going up to their attic all the time to breathe???? Lead and lacquer paint had rich, beautiful color depth and excellent adhesion properties. Who the f let’s their kids eat paint off the wall?? R-12 is by far, to this day, the best refrigerant for both home and car. We had it for 60 years. My Grandparents, all born in the later 1910s and early 20s, all died in their late 80s of causes not related to any of this nonsense. Now all their “environmentally friendly” replacements are subpar performance. Oy vay. |

You are correct. OF COURSE I will not be 'forced' to do anything I don't want to, like pay more for a gallon for gas, or pay double for my home utility bills. I'll just tell the guy at the gas station that even though THEY say gas is over $4 a gallon, I'm only going to continue to pay $2.25 a gallon and see how well that goes. And I'll just pay my future utility bills at the same rates I paid last year, I'm SURE they will understand and not shut off my service. |

I see so much hate about all the GM new vision and staff... Why don't you guys sell your Camaro and buy a Mustang instead?

The Ozone Hole Theory was questionable when it was presented back in the 70's.
30 years after the Montreal Protocol, the theory doesn't even remotely line up to what is actually occurring with the ozone layer today. Absolutely no correlation. So, yes, I studied it, didn't listen to the propaganda, and came to the conclusion it was a bunch of bovine sheet back then. The recorded scientific history proves that the theory is false.

You said "The issue is everyone keeps using the word "forced"....
...So to be clear, you are not being forced to do anything you don't want..." Perhaps you didn't understand my sarcasm, but I strongly disagree with your position that we are not being forced to do anything we don't want. In my previous post I discussed what is being forced upon us as a result of recent executive orders in the energy sector. When politicians enact policies that result in artificially high energy costs, yes, I AM forced to do something I don't want to do; spend more than I need to on gas for my car, heating my home, and everything else that will cost more as a result of these inane executive orders. |
